Aggregates Doubt

Hi Gurus,

Having a doubt, which I though be cleared .

Scenario is I am having a Mpro as reporting, which is having multiple cubes . Now all the cubes have data & aggregates are already built & respective aggregate rollup step sis already in the PC to sink the aggregative with daily delta in the cubes.

I have added few characteristics & navigational attributes to every cubes . Now since  these may be used as the reporting layer (added these as free characteristics in the reports). Now during the drill down on these new characteristics we found the report is very slow, so it is asked to change all existing aggregates with new added characteristics.

1) Once we edit the aggregates with the new fields, how to load the adjust the aggregates(means what should be the step for deleting/deactivation/refilling of aggregates)

2) If the cube is lets say having 2 aggregates(may be one  having few more characteristics than the Other), which the query will pick .

3) If the cubes has 2 aggregates which are exclusive , & the query has prompts/restrictions consisting of both, will both gets triggered once we run the query(or one aggregates per cube is pick in one run?)

4) If my query has exception aggregation on one  characteristics , should  this be also part of aggregates

5) Will the report drill down will again look for the possible aggregates to pick the data ?

6) If we add the characteristics , do we also exclusively need to add any navigational attribute of that characteristics if the characteristics  and navigational attributes both are used as prompts in the query?

7) let say I have a navigational attribute added in an aggregate(say A__B) but If I tried to add the same object(B) as characteristics in the same aggregative, system prompts me with an error ..

Thanks,

Fox
