I have installed Webi client tools 4.1 SP5 (side by side installation with 3.1) on a Windows 8 Lenovo laptop. They worked OK and then the Rich Client stopped working. It won't start - nothing appears in the task manager. It's added to the list of allowed programs in Norton Internet Security. Windows Firewall is controlled by Norton. I have tried other tools, e.g. Universe Design Tool - works just fine.

Any suggestions? I've also got Spybot. It doesn't seem to be blocking anything.
WebIRichClient.exe appears for a split second in the Windows Task Manager and then disappears. I can't even catch it with Process Monitor (procmon.exe).
