should not save existing entry in module pool

hello experts,

my requirements is that i create a module pool program with table control. and it saves and delete the entries from database. now when i create entry that is already exits should not save. means existing entry should not save in database and it should show the error message. so how can i do that?

i searched via different forums but i can't solve my requirement. so suggest me.
